Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Jovee AR LLC ("Jovée Link," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Jovée Link mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Who We Are

Jovée Link is a community and booking platform for the nail industry. It connects nail clients, nail artists, and salons so they can share work, discover one another, communicate, and schedule appointments. The App is operated by Jovee AR LLC, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide when you create an account:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Profile photo
  • Account role (client, nail artist, or salon)
  • Password (stored in secure, hashed form)

Information you provide during onboarding:

  • Location
  • For clients: personal details and preferences you choose to share
  • For nail artists: specialties and availability
  • For salons: business name, business email, business phone, and optional salon photos

Content you create in the App:

  • Posts, images, and portfolio work you share
  • Comments and replies
  • Reviews and ratings you leave
  • Messages you send in chat
  • Lists of users you follow and posts you save

Information collected automatically:

  • Device information and push notification tokens (so we can send you notifications)
  • Usage information, such as bookings made, job posts and applications, and interactions within the App

Information from sign-in providers:

  • If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic account identifiers from those services as permitted by your settings with them.

What we do NOT collect:

  • We do not collect or process payment information. The App does not currently include any payment system, and no credit card, bank, or other financial account information is collected through the App.
  • We do not collect earnings or other financial data.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Provide the App's core features: profiles, discovery, the community feed, messaging, reviews, the job board, and appointment scheduling
  • Connect clients, artists, and salons with one another
  • Send you notifications about bookings, messages, follows, and other activity
  • Maintain safety and integrity, including moderating content and responding to reports
  • Improve and troubleshoot the App
  • Communicate with you about your account or the service

4. How Information Is Shared

With other users (by the nature of a community app): Jovée Link is a community platform. Certain information is visible to other users by design, including your profile, profile photo, the content you post, your portfolio, reviews you leave, your specialties and availability (for artists), and your salon information (for salons). Please share only what you are comfortable making visible to other users of the App.

Between users who connect: When you book an appointment or interact through the job board, relevant information (such as your name and the details of the booking or application) is shared with the other party so the interaction can take place. Appointments and job arrangements are made directly between users; see our Terms of Service.

With service providers: We use third-party infrastructure providers to operate the App, including cloud hosting and database services (Google Firebase / Google Cloud). These providers process data on our behalf to provide the service.

With sign-in providers: If you use Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In, your use of those services is governed by their respective privacy policies.

For the AR try-on feature: The augmented-reality try-on feature is loaded from an external website operated under the Jovée brand (joveear.ai). Your use of that feature may involve that external site.

For legal reasons: We may share information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users, the public, or Jovee AR LLC.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete your account at any time from within the App, which removes your account and associated data, subject to any information we are required to retain for legal or legitimate business reasons.

You may also contact us at support@joveelink.com to request deletion.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

For California residents: Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended), you have rights including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@joveelink.com.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@joveelink.com and we will take steps to delete it.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including secure password storage and access controls on our systems. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Users

The App is operated from the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, your information will be processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
